Did a rumor that a furniture store was invaded by a wolf spark the LA protests?

As protests against President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigrants in the United States erupted in Los Angeles, Juan and his friends gathered in the parking lot of a furniture store near the city.
Usually, the people who attend these gatherings are mostly undocumented immigrants who work in a variety of jobs. They gather to find work in stores or as odd jobs.
But on Sunday, two pickup trucks advertising roofing and painting services were parked outside a Home Depot store in the suburb of Paramount, a city that is 82 percent Hispanic and Portuguese.
The store was the site of a major protest against President Trump’s immigration policies. The protests began after rumors spread that day laborers inside the store had been rounded up and arrested. The day we arrived was the day after the protests began.
Many residents of the area told the BBC that they had seen many immigration police cars around.
