June 1 National News Summary: AA, TNLA, and MNDAA Celebrate 4th Anniversary of KNDF Formation

The Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF), which has been waging a revolutionary war against the military junta, has been able to reclaim the ancestral lands of the Karenni people, the three allied groups have sent a message of congratulations.

The Arakan Army (AA), the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), and the Kokang National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) sent a message of congratulations yesterday to mark the 4th anniversary of the KNDF, which was formed 3 months after the military coup.

Although ethnic Burmese and other ethnic groups have revolted since the military took over, the allies also noted in their message that some local defense forces have been unable to stand up to the revolution and have strayed from the path of revolution for more than four years. They also emphasized that the KNDF is a group that can make steady progress among those who continue to resist.

The three allied groups also issued a statement expressing their deep respect for the sacrifices of the Karenni people, heroes, and revolutionary comrades who have sacrificed their lives, blood, sweat, and lives over the past four years.
