Post-earthquake school opening season – “We will repair the building as soon as the school opens”

The Military Council’s basic education schools for the 2025-2026 academic year will open on June 2, so enrollment has been accepted nationwide since May 22.
“The school will be renovated as soon as it opens. The school will open on the scheduled date,” U Thein Htay, the military council’s Mandalay Region spokesman, told the BBC.
High, middle and primary schools in Sagaing, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw, which were hit by the Myanmar earthquake, will also reopen.
Although schools have reopened more than two months after the earthquake, education experts warn that attendance could be reduced.
I will teach in a temporary school building.

The military council released a list of damages to more than 6,000 schools in Sagaing, Mandalay, and Nay Pyi Taw due to the March 28 earthquake in Myanmar.
